Oratorio del Rosario
L’oratorio del Rosario fu edificato nel 1671 da don Carlo Di Maria, così come la compagnia che porta lo stesso nome della chiesa che fu fondata l’8 giugno 1674.
Nell’altare in legno dipinto a foggia di marmo con il ciborio con colonne tortili, putti e decori dorati, è custodita una pala d’altare copia da un’originale dipinto da Anton Van Dyck commissionata nel 1623 dalla Compagnia dei Sacchi di Santa Maria del Rosario e compiuto nel 1628, ancora oggi conservato nell’oratorio del Rosario di San Domenico a Palermo.
Oratory of the Rosary
The Oratory of the Rosary was built in 1671 by Don Carlo Di Maria, as well as the company founded on 8th June 1674 that has the same name of the church.
On the left wall of the church there is a painting depicting the Annunciation.
It is a painting of the late XVII century of popular taste, which represent a bedroom with a four-poster bed where the Virgin was reading the Scriptures when the Angel came to give her Announcement.
