Contrada San Miceli

Il monastero benedettino di S. Michele Arcangelo sorgeva, pare, a pochi chilometri dall’attuale sito delle due Petralie, nella località denominata appunto nel dialetto locale San Miceli, là dove ora si possono vedere quelle rovine (resti di mura e cocci di argilla) intorno alle quali sono fiorite nel tempo moltissime leggende.

The quarter called San Micieli

The Benedictine monastery of St. Michael the Archangel probably stood a few kilometres from the two Petralie, in the locality called (in the local dialect) San Miceli.

Now it is possible to see the ruins (remains of walls and clay fragments) about which many legends have flourished over time.
